Had another trip to the charity shop in search of a microwave but no luck, (I was given a huge old one from a neighbour today, but it blew all the house electrics when i switched it on ! )
but did get this Midwinter fashion tea set , 6 of each , cup, saucer and plate, for £3
the decoration is actually gold, but it doesn't really show up in the photo.
I also got some brand new slippers for £1.50, my lot all said they look like granny slippers but I don't care ! they are so warm and cosy, lol
My Mum brought me this glass chopping board up from Yorkshire on sunday, love it !
fingers crossed someone donates a microwave this week !

At last !!!!
After a couple of boring weeks , with nothing at either the car boot or charity shop, this week there were things I wanted !!
I only went to the charity shop because I had to drop off some donations, and the first thing I spotted as I went through the door was this !
Its the 113th edition, I can't work out the date, according to google it could be either 1923 or 1931, these are some of the adverts in the back,
inside the front cover
for some reason I was only charged 75p for this and another hardback (Peter Kay's 2nd book).
Next I spotted this table cloth,
close up on the embroidery,
Who ever made it was so neat with thier stitches, it's almost as lovely on the back. £2 well spent I think !
These 6 Enoch Wedgwood plates were just £1,
close up on the pattern, they are more purpley in real life,
Next up, a pair of Colclough 'Star dust' Cup, saucer and cake plate sets, £1 for the lot
I'm off back to the shop tomorrow as my microwave blew up yesterday and I'm hoping they have some in, they are usually about a fiver, you never realise how much you use a microwave until its gone!
I'm linking up with the magpie monday gang, so pop over there and enjoy !
toodleooooo :)

Poor pickings, so heres some I bought earlier !
Morning all, I shouldn't really be sat here posting as I've so much cleaning to do , but it's been ages since I blogged so thats a good excuse to have 5 mins sit down, before I tackle this first,
Its's covered in dust !
Theres been nothing of interest at the charity shop or car booty so heres a few things I bought earlier this year(all covered in dust !)
I got this Kenwood multichef thing for £2, complete with loads of attatchments,
and made this for my daughters 15th birthday last weekend
think I've shown these before, but I'm still trying to find out if they are old or what, got them free with some other 50's ornaments
I got these little horses given from a friend down the road,
These two horses were £1, but someone has knocked one of the shelf and snapped its leg !
These salt and pepper cats were 50p
I love this glass vase, I just know someones going to knock it off and smash it !! I have no idea how old this is, any ideas ? Only £1.
Here are some of the paperweights my daughter keeps making me buy, all £1 each
My brother gave me these freaky moneyboxes (shelf pottery)
well as you can see, Lots of thimgs to dust so better crack on, I'll just have a cuppa first :)
don't forget to visit the magpie monday gang

Magpie Monday+ free chicken !
Hello to you all on this lovely sunny monday, at last I have got time to sit down after driving about all day !
So todays goodies are rather sparce, the small car booty is getting smaller, and as I worked yesterday I missed the big booty.
We did have a fair at work on saturday and I won 6 prizes in the tombola, just the usual smellies etc but I was quite pleased to get this Ringtons cup and saucer, I've even been using it !
I forgot to put this on last week, its a jaj pyrex gravy boat and saucer, £1 from the charity shop
in the background are some big sweetie jars I was given, perfect for storing flour. cat biscuits, pasta etc, I want more !
Finally the best freebie ever, on Sunday morning I found these in the allotment !
I knew she had been sitting on eggs but didn't think they would hatch as our cockerel is a huge Cochin, twice the size of this little hen (I hatched her and him myself in the incubator last year)
Here he is in the snow, he's even bigger now and more feathery !
I just hope all 5 are hens ! they all have feathery legs like thier Dad, so will be very pretty when they grow up, lol.

Thank you Singer
Last year I bought a cute little Singer sewing machine for £4, what a bargain, turns out they sell from £150 upwards but I thought no way, it's too fab to get rid of...
But, because of this little monster....
Who has been very naughty by escaping from his field and trying to get friendly with another pony, costing me £58 in vets bills due to a neurotic owner. He is now going to get his nuts off so my lovely sewing machine has to go to pay for it.
It sold for £206 so I might buy him a bag of carrots too !

Friday bits
The car boot was a bit rubbish again today, so had a run over to the charity shop too.
Todays bits are,
2 Ringtons Rabbit mugs , made by Wade £1.50 the pair.
Next, a cute pig pomander made for Avon in 1978, 50p
Couldn't grab these fast enough !! only £1, Richards 'golden age' pinkers from about the 50's, they are gold coloured so look very posh, lol
Last but not least, these enamel tins, I only wanted the biscuit one, but she only wanted £1 for the lot, so thought I might mix 'n' match them with my pink set, and look out for another colour too, if you know what I mean !
oops nearly forgot the link to magpie monday !go here, join in !

Sunday Singer for Magpie monday
Working this morning so missed the big boot sale, but after cooking a sunday dinner for 16, I popped up to the little afternoon one.
Right at the bottom of the field I found this for £4 !!! and the blokes son carried it back to my car for me too :)
It's a 1920 singer sewing machine, its been converted (i think) to electric, I haven't dared to plug it in yet !!!
I don't really like electric machines, I prefer treadle or hand cranked (I have one of each ), but I love the decals on this one, its still filthy, the husband is hopefully going to clean it tomorrow and maybe test it !
sorry the pics are a bit rubbish.
